Final grades will be released and mailed as soon as possible, and any can didates with a deficiency of quality points will be notified when grades are finalized. On Friday, May 5, at 3:30 p. m. a rehearsal will be held for the Music Ensembles. Fol lowing this there will be a picnic and then a Band re hearsal. A rehearsal for the Com mencement Service is to be held at 10:30 a. m. Saturday, May 6, in the First United Methodist Church. Then at 1:00 p. m. a luncheon will be held in the college cafeteria and good dress is expected. The Alumni Association meets then, and at that time graduation candidates will be inducted into the Asso ciation. Saturday evening at 8:00 p. m. a concert is scheduled hon oring those who are graduating and their families and guests. Featured will be the Glee Club and Chamber Ensemble along with the Band, This is to be held in Dunham Auditorium. Im mediately after the concert a reception will be held at Presi dent Davis’ house to honor these people also. On Sunday morning, May 7, at 11:00 a. m, the Commence ment Service will be held at First United Methodist Church. The College Choir and Glee Club and some instrumentalists will provide the music. At 1:30 p. m. before the 2:00 Commencement Exercises, the Brevard High School Band is to present a concert. Choral works at the Commencement Exercises themselves will be performed by the Brevard Col lege Choir and Glee Club with some instrumentalists. At this time all candidates will re ceive their diplomas and the activities for this year will be completed. The grauates will leave Bre vard College with mixed feel ings. It is the ending of one phase of their lives but the start of another. Some grad uates will continue their studies at other colleges and universi ties, and others will begin work ing. But probably all students will regret leaving; they are leaving with many memories, both happy and sad, and they are also leaving the friends they have worked with and come to know so well. Each one leaves a part of himself behind as he departs from the campus into a new and strange world. The Clarion staff extends wishes for success and happi ness in the. future to all de parting students. Mr. Drye has had much experience in coffee house work.He was associated with the “new thing.” a Chris tian coffee house in Asheville until recently. He is now in business in Greenville, South Carolina. As some people may have noticed, there is an art auc tion taking place on campus. This is a unique occurrence for Brevard College. Mr. Robert Poe, a member of the art fac ulty at Brevard, has placed many of his works on exhibit on the lawn at his home on campus.
